Author Compare-Contrast

Choose two books in the field of educational technology, or applicable to ed tech, to compare and contrast. Each person will sign up for two of the books on the list.
Sign up on the book page - be sure to follow the directions carefully.

This assessment requires a minimum of 100 pages of reading – sections of a book can be chosen to fulfill the requirement (a minimum of 100 pages from each source). The final products:
  1. complete a 5-page paper (submitted via GoogleDocs or Scribd - enter the URL or file in your portfolio page)
  2. complete a 5-minute, 20-slide, 15 seconds/slide presented to the class via Voice Thread. For more information on this presentation style Google Pecha Kucha.
    1. Limit the text
    2. Use pictures
  3. provide comments on the presentations of the 3 individuals who are not in your group (use the discussion on each person's portfolio page).

Include the following in the final paper:
  1. Title page (does not count in total pages) - use APA style
  2. Basic tenets of each work - the authors' perspectives - be thorough, but concise (1-2 pages)
  3. How the works are similar and different (1-2 pages) - use a Venn Diagram if necessary
  4. Address the application of both works to education technology as we know it today - you may also include projections for the future (1-2 pages)
  5. An APA reference list and include the pages that you read (does not count in total pages)
  6. Be sure to correctly cite quotes within the body of the paper.
